Data deletion instructions
Last updated 28 October 2026. Provided in English; the English version governs.
VenueWS is operated by DMS Workspace LLC. This page explains how to delete personal information held in VenueWS, including information we received through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform. You never need to pay, sign in to Facebook, or give a reason to have your data deleted.
The fastest route: email privacy@dmsworkspace.com with the email address or phone number your data is under. We confirm within 10 business days.
1. Organisers: delete your workspace
If you run events on VenueWS, you can delete your data yourself at any time:
- One guest or a list of guests — open the guest book, select the guests and choose Delete, or Erase to remove them along with their invitation and check-in history.
- Your whole workspace — go to Account in the app and choose Close account. This deletes your events, guest lists, invitations, check-ins, and any connected WhatsApp number.
- A copy first — you can export guest lists and attendance as CSV before you delete.
2. Guests: delete your details
If you received an invitation through VenueWS, your details were entered by the organiser who invited you, and they control that guest list. To have your name, email or phone number removed:
- Ask the organiser who invited you to delete you from their guest list, or
- Email privacy@dmsworkspace.com with your phone number or email address and, if you know it, the event name. We will pass the request to the organiser and make sure it is carried out.
To stop WhatsApp messages right away, reply STOP (or BAJA) to any VenueWS message. Your number is then blocked from every VenueWS message, from every organiser, and anything already queued for it is cancelled. You can also block the sender in WhatsApp.
3. Businesses that connected WhatsApp
If you connected your WhatsApp Business number to VenueWS through Meta, you can remove VenueWS’s access in either of two ways. Both take effect immediately:
- In VenueWS, go to Settings → WhatsApp and choose Disconnect.
- In Meta Business Suite, remove VenueWS from your WhatsApp account’s partners or connected apps. Meta notifies us and we disconnect on our side.
When you disconnect, we unsubscribe from your WhatsApp Business Account and permanently delete the access token Meta issued to us, so VenueWS can no longer send from your number or read anything about it. The account identifiers we kept (WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number ID, display number and verified name) stay only as a record of the past connection, and are deleted when you close your workspace or ask us to delete them.
Removing VenueWS does not delete your WhatsApp Business Account or your number. Those belong to you and are managed by Meta.
4. Ask us to delete it
Email privacy@dmsworkspace.com and include:
- The email address or phone number your data is under.
- Whether you are an organiser, a guest, or a business that connected WhatsApp.
- Anything else that helps us find it, such as the workspace or event name.
We may ask you to confirm a detail we already hold, or to reply from the address on the account, before we delete anything. That protects you from someone else deleting your data. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and complete the request within 45 days, and usually much sooner.
5. What is deleted, and when
| What | When it is deleted |
|---|---|
| WhatsApp access token for a connected number | Immediately, when the number is disconnected in VenueWS or in Meta. |
| A guest an organiser deletes or erases | Immediately from the app; from encrypted backups within 90 days. |
| A closed workspace and everything in it | From live systems within 30 days; from encrypted backups within 90 days. |
| Message delivery records (sent, delivered, read) | With the workspace, and in any case after 12 months. |
| A WhatsApp opt-out (“STOP”) | Kept, so we keep honouring it. Ask us and we will remove it, but you may then be messaged again. |
| Billing and tax records | After seven years, as US tax rules require. |
For everything else we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Data Processing Addendum and Sub-processors.
