Every new workspace starts on the Free plan, and the person who signs up is its admin.
Step 1: your business and first venue
The Welcome to VenueWS screen asks for three things:
- Business name — shown to your team and on your emails.
- First venue — leave it blank to use the business name. You can add more venues later.
- Venue time zone — pre-filled from your browser. Invitation windows and emails use the venue's time zone.
Click Continue. A welcome email follows once the workspace is ready.
Step 2: your first event (optional)
Add your first event offers to create one at your new venue. Type an Event name and check Starts and Ends (they default to tonight), then click Create event. If you are only looking around, click Skip for now — you can create events any time.
Try the sample event
If your workspace has no events, the dashboard shows Nothing scheduled yet with two buttons:
- Create an event — takes you to your venue's events.
- Try it with sample guests — adds an event running right now with three guests whose QR codes work, one already through the door. Open the scanner and scan one of them.
The sample costs nothing against your plan, is marked Sample in the events list, and archives itself after a week.
Next: walk through the first event checklist.
