Set up a venue

Add a venue, then set its door options, branding, zones and scanner devices from one page.

Add or edit a venue

  1. Go to Venues and click New venue.
  2. Enter a Name and a Time zone, then click Create venue.
  3. To rename a venue later, open the menu on its card and choose Edit. Archive removes it from the backoffice and stops its paired devices from scanning — this can't be undone from the app.

Open the venue's settings

On the venue's card, click Settings & devices. The left side is Door settings; the right side holds devices and zones.

Door settings

  • QR check-in — QR check-in enabled lets staff scan invitation QR codes. Email invitations to guests emails the QR straight away to guests who register themselves or come from a linked list (guests you add are sent when you choose). Also send over WhatsApp needs WhatsApp set up first (WhatsApp).
  • Branding — Accent colour is used for the buttons and links guests see; leave it blank for the default. Cover image is shown above guest pages (PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 600 KB). Both apply to the public event page, guest invitation pages and invitation emails.
  • Public registration — Let events open a public registration page, plus defaults for approval and party size. See Public registration.
  • Operations — Allow offline scanning and Shift log retention (hours).
  • ID & age verification — carried to devices as policy only. Leave it off unless your scanner build integrates a verification engine.

Click Save changes when you're done (or Discard). Reset to defaults removes every override for the venue. Devices pick up changes the next time they provision.

Devices and zones

  • Door phones — Add door phones makes one link that sets up the door team's phones (no login); Generate pairing code is for one phone right now; Paired devices lists the ones allowed to scan, each with Revoke. Full steps in Set up the door team's phones.
  • Zones — separate doors or areas (VIP, parking, main entrance), each with its own capacity and devices. Type a Zone name, an optional Capacity, and click Add. With no zones, every device admits at every door.
