Invoices, payments and going over your seats

Find and download invoices, export your payments, and understand how seats past your allowance are billed.

Download an invoice

  1. Click Billing in the sidebar.
  2. Scroll to Invoices — numbered receipts for every charge: subscriptions, seats past your allowance and event passes.
  3. Click the download icon on a row to get the PDF.

Each invoice is also emailed when it's issued, to the PayPal payer's address (or, if there is none, the workspace's first account), with a link back to this page. PayPal sends its own receipts too.

See and export payments

The Payments card lists every charge on your subscription, straight from PayPal, with a link to view each receipt in PayPal. Click Export CSV to download them.

At the top of the page, Current plan shows your Next charge (or Paid through after cancelling), Last payment, Payment method and Subscriber since, and Usage on this plan shows your meters.

When you go over your seats

Seats are invited people (see Plans and limits). If you pass your allowance:

  • On a paid plan, invitations keep going out and nobody is turned away. The Plan page shows a notice with how many seats you're over and the amount so far. When the period closes, the extra seats are charged through your PayPal subscription at your plan's per-seat rate, and an invoice follows.
  • On the Free plan, nothing is charged. You'll get an email suggesting an upgrade or an event pass.

The first time a period goes over, it's also recorded in the Audit log, and a plan.overage webhook is sent if you use webhooks (API and webhooks).

Bought one-off extras several times recently? The Billing page may suggest a plan that includes them — click See what changes to compare.
