Accept a team invitation
Join a workspace you've been invited to, and what happens to the workspace you had before.
Accept the invitation
- Open the invitation email and click Accept invitation — or open the link your teammate shared.
- Sign in to VenueWS. New to VenueWS? Click Create an account on the sign-in page, using the email the invite was sent to, then open the link again.
- You'll see Team invitation with the workspace's name and the role you're getting. Click Accept invitation.
- VenueWS signs you in again for a moment and takes you into your new workspace.
If the invite was sent to a specific email, you must be signed in with that same email. If you're signed in with a different one, you'll see a warning: sign out and use the invited account.
What happens to your own workspace
Accepting moves your account into the new workspace, and you leave your current one. You get only the role in the invite: if you were the Admin of a workspace you created yourself, that Admin role doesn't come with you. Any venue limits you had before no longer apply — only the ones set in the new invite.
If you want to keep running your own workspace too, use a different email for each one.
When the link doesn't work
An invitation link works once and expires after 7 days. An Admin can also revoke it. If yours says it's expired, revoked or already accepted, or that the link isn't valid, ask the person who invited you for a new one.
The workspace also needs a free seat on its plan when you accept. If it's full, an Admin there has to make room first.
