What your guest sees: the invitation page and QR

Every invitation has its own page with the QR, the entry window, RSVP and, when set up, wallet passes and the waiver.

Get the page to a guest

  1. In the event's guest list, open ⋯ on the guest's row and choose QR & share link.
  2. Use Copy link, WhatsApp or SMS to send it. The link opens the QR in any browser, no app or login needed.

Guests with an email also get this link in their invitation email, behind the Open my invitation button.

What's on the page

  • Your logo and business name, the venue and the event.
  • The QR, with Save QR and, on phones, Share. Below it is the code in text, for staff if the QR won't scan.
  • Add to Apple Wallet and Save to Google Wallet, when wallet passes are available on your VenueWS service.
  • Event, Your entry window (in the venue's time zone), Venue, and when set, Table, Party and Reference.
  • Will you be coming? — the RSVP. See Groups and RSVP.
  • Your table, when you let guests pick their own seat on the floor plan.
  • A link to the event page, when you have one.

The page is in the event's guest language. A banner tells the guest where things stand: not valid yet, checked in, awaiting your approval, cancelled or expired. With Allow re-entry, a checked-in guest keeps the QR to come back in.

When there's a waiver

If the event has a required waiver, the waiver stands where the QR would be. The guest reads it, ticks that they accept, types their full name and taps Accept and show my QR. Only then does the QR appear, and the invitation email doesn't include the QR until then. See Waivers.

Tip: the link itself is the guest's key. Treat it like a ticket, and revoke the invitation if it ends up in the wrong hands.
