Invite a guest
Issue one guest their QR invitation, with an optional email, phone, party size, table and entry window.
Issue an invitation
- Open the event (Venues → your venue → the event).
- Click Invite guest at the top right.
- Fill in what you know (every field is optional, see below).
- Click Issue invitation.
The fields
- Guest name and Guest email. Adding a guest doesn't send anything: tick Send the invitation to the guest now to send it straight away, or send later from the list (see Send invitations).
- Guest phone, with the country code, for WhatsApp.
- Door — only shown when the venue has zones; restricts the guest to one zone, or Any door.
- Reference — a ticket or order number. It must be unique within the event.
- Table — shown to the door on the scan.
- Party size — how many people this one QR admits, from 1 to 500.
- Custom validity window — a Valid from and Valid until for this guest only. Leave blank to use the event's default window.
Share the QR
After you issue it, a window opens with the QR, a Copy link button for the guest's own page, and quick WhatsApp and SMS buttons. Without an email, this is how you get the invitation to the guest yourself.
Good to know
- If the event has a Capacity, you can't issue more seats (party sizes added up) than it allows.
- A guest you have blocked in Guests can't be invited again until you clear the flag.
- Archived events don't accept new invitations.
- To find the QR again later, use QR & share link in the guest's row menu.
Tip: inviting more than a handful? Import a CSV instead.
