Close your account or workspace
Leave VenueWS yourself, or close the whole workspace — and restore it within 30 days if you change your mind.
Close my account
Leaves VenueWS; the workspace carries on without you.
- Go to My account and scroll to Close account.
- Click Close my account…
- If you haven't signed in recently, click Confirm it's you, sign in again, and you'll come straight back.
- Optionally tell us why, tick I understand my login is deleted and this can't be undone., and click Close my account.
Your login is deleted right away and you're signed out everywhere. The workspace, its events and its guests stay with its other admins. You can sign up again later with the same email, but you'd need a new invite to rejoin.
If you're the only Admin and others are in the workspace, make someone else an Admin on the Team page first. If you're the only person in the workspace, close the workspace instead.
Close the workspace
Admins only. This stops everything for the whole team.
- Export your guest lists first if you need them — everything is erased later.
- In Close account, click Close the workspace…
- Read the list, then Confirm it's you if asked.
- Type the workspace name to confirm and click Close the workspace.
What happens at once:
- Scanners, guest pages, registration and the API stop working. Queued and scheduled messages are cancelled.
- A paid plan is cancelled so you're not charged again.
- Every other member loses access and gets an email with the erase date.
After 30 days, everything is erased for good: venues, events, guest lists, check-ins, consents, messages and every team member's login.
Restore the workspace
Until the erase date, any Admin can sign in, open My account and click Restore the workspace. Everything comes back as it was. A cancelled paid plan has to be chosen again on the Plan page, and messages that piled up while closed are cancelled rather than sent late.
