Bad signal at the door: scan offline
Get the door phones ready before doors open, see at a glance that the guest list is saved on each, and keep scanning — and signing waivers — with no signal.
Turn it on
- Go to Venues → Settings & devices on the venue.
- Switch on Allow offline scanning and click Save changes.
It applies to phones set up with a door link or pairing code, not to scanning with your own signed-in account.
Before doors open
- Open the scanner on each door phone where there's wifi or data.
- Wait for the green Ready offline · saved just now at the top (or open the menu → Sync now).
- Go to the door.
Tap that line at any time for the Door check: the connection, which events and how many guests are saved on the phone and when, whether waivers can be signed offline, anything waiting to upload, and the camera. If a line needs attention it says what to do.
From the backoffice, Ops and Paired devices show each phone as ready offline, or how many scans it still has to upload.
When the signal goes
Keep scanning. The top line says Offline · N guests on this phone and how many scans are waiting to upload. The phone decides with the same rules as the server and remembers what it did, so a QR scanned twice is still caught. If the network is only slow, the phone waits a few seconds and then decides from its list rather than keeping the queue waiting.
- A guest who hasn't signed the waiver can Sign here on this phone, offline too: the signature waits on the phone and goes up before the scan it let through.
- Not on this phone (amber): the invitation was issued after the last sync. The scan is saved and checked later.
- Guest list search and walk-ins need a connection.
When it's back
Everything uploads by itself, oldest first, with the time it really happened. The scanner says how many scans (and signatures) synced and either The server agreed with every one. or which guests it judged differently. If a waiver was edited while the phone was offline, that signature is listed to be redone — the guest is already in.
